My tattoo by Jason Corbett :
I have always loved stickers since I was a kid and have I always loved Sticker art (or sticker bombing) which is a form of street art in which an image or message is publicly displayed. When I was living in Marseille in the early nineties I remember doing many DIY anti-nazi and anti-Lepen (french National Front leader back in those days) stickers and putting them everywhere in the streets. Since I have done several ones over the years for DOSEprod and used them a lot in Bristol and Edinburgh and often do some sticker bombing all over places I visit and go to. If you have some cool stickers and would like to exchange some with mine ! let’s trade !! email me and I’ll send 5 over to you and in return you can send me 5 of yours. Great fun huh ??

My inspiration-work album of the month is The Social Network soundtrack by Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross. I just walked out from the movies after seeing the film and thinking I must get that soundtrack now! David Fincher is one of those directors who knows that music and sound design is so important and can make such a difference in a film – I think David Lynch and Stanley Kubrick are great film directors but also amazing sound designers. I have not enjoyed a great film soundtrack for a longtime and this is one to have. DOSE RECOMMENDED ! Official website >> CLICK

Here is the Music Player. You need to installl flash player to show this cool thing!
The long-awaited follow up to his controversial IRREVERSIBLE, ENTER THE VOID is an immersive and mind-bending experience which I finally got to see last weekend. Like each of his previous film you have to be prepared with strong stomachs to see something different and his films are always going to stay in your mind for ever. I discovered Gaspar Noé’s first film ‘Seul Contre Tous’ (I stand alone) more than 10 years ago and was amazed and a little disturbed about it because of the realism, troubling, dark and believability of the story but the film was a truly original vision. Then was Irreversible ! The movie which effects each viewer – it is not a easy movie to watch but I would say its a masterpiece. Now you have to see ENTER THE VOID which again will challenge your perceptions and is a totally hallucinogenic trip. The special FX, camera movements and sound design… just stunning!!!. This is something you have never seen before ! GET YOUR DOSE .. very inspiring movie !!! Gaspar Noé is just one of the most incredible film directors out there! Official website >> CLICK HERE
I have just published on-line the new website page I have created for the talented music composer Robert Duncan. You can listen to his latest score for the TV series TERRIERS which is an American neo-noir comedy-drama television series created by Ted Griffin for FX and produced by Shawn Ryan (The Shield). The first track of the score is called ‘Gunfight Epiphany’ (sang by Robert Duncan) which is the theme song and used on the opening credits. I have had that song in my head for days and I have been whistling the tune while walking down my street !!! Robert Duncan is currently composing for more great films and series for 2011 and I will be working closely with him on setting up many more pages on his website for other scores he has created in the last past years. (The Unit, Butterfly on a Wheel, Lie to me, Castle …). Check it out ! Robert Duncan Official website >> Click here

And finally the third and last one – this is how I generally feel on monday mornings… Well not true actually because I have behaved myself this week-end and I didn’t go out and did some work and spent time with my family. I have a few more personal artworks on the go (more skeletons and skulls again !) and I am working on 3 CD artworks which I hope to finish before the end of the year (depends more on the client than me as I must wait for all the missing text, info, photos, tracklisting etc.. to insert.)
I have just finished working on the new version of the Sonic Mayhem website. They have just announced that they have worked on the score of Tron: Evolution which is an action-adventure Video Game that take’s the story from the original Tron movie and leads up right to the upcoming Tron: Legacy movie. Being a fan of the original Tron movie I could not wait to hear this new music and when I heard for the first time I was just amazed how this new soundtrack is good, modern, edgy, rich and powerful! now I can’t wait to play the game !
Sonic Mayhem is Sascha Dikiciyan, one of the most sought-after composers in the industry today. Known for his precision beats that exemplifies his European upbringing and innovative electronic sounds that reflect the years spent in the underground scene in Berlin and Los Angeles, Sascha Dikiciyan creates a voice that is uniquely his own. He has created great soundtracks for games like Prototype, Borderlands, MAG, Haze, God of War, Splinter Cell, Quake, Unreal Tournament …. I am always very happy to work with such talented people!
Go and check out the new Sonic Mayhem website and listen to the soundtracks in the Music section >> Click here
I have also created a animated title video for the Sonic Mayhem YouTube page and you can listen to the Tron Evolution soundtrack and subscribe to the page >> Click here

A few days ago I got a really nice email from a person from Arizona telling me about how much he liked all the Karnival Decks design and that he was a huge fan. He was thinking of having the Karnival Deck Ace of Spades design tattooed on his arm and wanted my thumbs up and OK before going for it … Of course he has my GO !!!! (I think the design will make a great tattoo) ! He will be sending over some photos once completed. A few years ago I was asked to design a tattoo for Pete Crossman of Victory Pill who also got the logo I designed tattooed on his leg. Nice one !
I am currently working on a website project with Robert Duncan who is a Canadian composer of film and television music who composed scores for such TV series as Buffy the Vampire Slayer and The Unit and films such as Butterfly on a Wheel starring Pierce Brosnan and Gerard Butler. I have worked on several projects with Robert Duncan over the last years and we have had many great long discussions about the world of music, movies, art and design. His new website is coming soon !! In the meantime here is a design I did for him back in 2006.
Back in 2004 I worked on the Pitchshifter Official DVD project for several months. I had to create the artwork, do the 3D animations and animated menus for the DVD, do the post-prod on the videos and all the authoring. The DVD contains a full live in Nottingham (13 tracks) and lots of bonus material like the making-of the P.S.I album, music videos, backstage interviews, photo gallery, discography and exclusive extras with videos from This Is Menace, The Blueprint and dRAWBACKS. I also did a website and worked on the promo trailer which you can check out >> Click here
I found this old 3D image in my archives… I did this back in 2002 for fun ..
Here is the logo and a visual I did for the musician/remixer Daniel Voicians. I’ve been in contact with him since he discovered my work for Celldweller and FIXTmusic a couple of years ago. He describes his music with the term “hybrid” and I could not agree more ! Expect a full-on sonic assault through an eclectic mix of musical styles. From down-tempo to drum-and-bass to piano/orchestral and electronic elements – this cross-genre bullet ride is the sound and identity of Voicians. He has recently released his first full-length album called ‘escApe’ (available at the FIXT store and on iTunes and Amazon) and he his currently working on several remixes for Celldweller. If you want to check out and discover more about Voicians you can download 4 free songs >> Click here

Between 2002 and 2008 I followed a great serie called The Shield created by Kurl Sutter. It was added on to my list of favorite series ever (with Six Feet Under, The Sopranos, Twin Peaks, Dexter, Oz, Band of Brothers and Battlestar Galactica) and when it finished I was like … NOOOOOOO !!!! I can watch this serie for another 10 seasons !!! Then a new serie created again by Kurl Sutter was announced and it was called Sons of Anarchy. I then watched the 2 seasons and I was immediately hooked by this new drama serie following the Sons of Anarchy motorcycle club in Charming, California. Great actors (Ron Perlman, Henry Rollins and scottish actor Tommy Flanagan), great story and concept (Shakespeare influence?), great soundtrack and filming. Guns, gangs, tattoos, bikers, family drama, drug dealers, bars…. and the seduction of money, power, and blood ! YEP! A total must see – I have just started watching the 3rd season this week – Brilliant ! >> SOA Official website >> Click here
Hope you had a horrible and gory Halloween week-end ! This month I will be working on the artwork for the next chapter of the Celldweller – Wish Upon A Blackstar project.
