I was looking through my archives files a few weeks ago and found this video I did for Pitchshifter back in 2000 (Made after doing the ‘Hidden Agenda’ one). I used a few shots from the first video and added in some scenes I had filmed in the streets of London and Bristol. From the band: 2012 is the perfect year for us to be releasing an album that is as dense and as dark as the surrounding swirls of madness in the world. At a time when the news is fast-forward and the planet seems to be descending into madness, who better than Killing Joke to reflect this? The album’s key is the end of times, an age of flux, a shift in consciousness…

Those who know me know that I am a huge Killing Joke fan ! A gatherer ! I have my ticket to go and see them playing at 02 ABC Glasgow on Monday 12th March. I’ve seen them many times over the last decades (several times in France and last year in Edinburgh) and everytime it’s just so amazing to see them performing live. I can’t wait to go and check them out again next month !

Once again I am not a fan of the artwork. This cover is just not working out for me. To be totally honest I could not even think I could send something like this out to a band. We have a 3D landscape, a photo of a factory in the background which just doesn’t work and it’s been badly photoshopped (the perspective and distance is wrong). Then on top we have an illustration of a skull and then a sort of 3D shiny machinery straight out of AutoCad 3D or something similar. Awful! The layout and balance is just terrible. Such a shame! And with the album’s key being the end of times the artwork should have been EPIC! I would do anything to create some artwork for this band and this is all they can come up with?

The british techno-metal band SHELLSHOCK have just announced the forthcoming release of a new single which will be closely followed by their next studio album produced by Justin Hill (Sikth). I went to see The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. I absolutely loved the film. David Fincher is one of my all time favourite film directors.
