The anticipated Celldweller full-length album, Wish Upon A Blackstar will be officially released on June 12, 2012. The expansive 16 track album has been years in the making and I actually started working on the artwork for this album almost 3 years ago. When I came up with the concept for Celldweller of creating one large image and splitting them up into chapters and revealing at each release a new part of the artwork, I thought of how to to do this and I had to start with creating the central and final piece which was going to be the blackstar and then work backwards and create the full artwork. I went through many versions and experimented a lot before getting to this final cover which has many details. The Deluxe Edition of the album features the long-awaited final scene from my series of images from the original digital album chapters. I am actually working on finishing and doing some last minute modifications requests I received from Klayton for the final artwork for Chapter 05. The design will also be the cover of the much anticipated next album fron Celldweller called ‘WISH UPON A BLACKSTAR’ which will regroup all the chapters and should be released sometimes before end of this year. In the meantime  FIXT store has just added pre-orders for Chapter 04 and it will be out on June 28, 2011. No prior tracks express Klayton’s knack for hybridizing genres as well as these two songs. “I Can’t Wait” melds stuttering dubstep basslines, dynamic percussion, precision glitch edits, and the signature Celldweller guitar attacks and infectious vocal deliveries. “Gift For You”, on the other hand, is a departure in its simplicity. Celldweller and FIXT have released the cover and info about the release of “Wish Upon A Blackstar” – Chapter 04 which is Tues, June 28th 2011. I was happy to hear about this news has I had finished this artwork for them back in january this year. Now one more chapter-artwork to go which will complete the final piece for the full artwork and will reveal the design for the full album coming out hopefully before end of this year. I am currently finishing working on the next CELLDWELLER Chapter 04 artwork. My first project with Klayton and his label FIXT music was in 2008 when they asked me to design the artwork for the album ‘Soundtrack for the voices in my head‘. Here is the logo and a visual I did for the musician/remixer Daniel Voicians. I’ve been in contact with him since he discovered my work for Celldweller and FIXTmusic a couple of years ago. He describes his music with the term “hybrid” and I could not agree more ! Expect a full-on sonic assault through an eclectic mix of musical styles. From down-tempo to drum-and-bass to piano/orchestral and electronic elements – this cross-genre bullet ride is the sound and identity of Voicians. He has recently released his first full-length album called ‘escApe’ (available at the FIXT store and on iTunes and Amazon) and he his currently working on several remixes for Celldweller.
