The anticipated Celldweller full-length album, Wish Upon A Blackstar will be officially released on June 12, 2012. The expansive 16 track album has been years in the making and I actually started working on the artwork for this album almost 3 years ago. When I came up with the concept for Celldweller of creating one large image and splitting them up into chapters and revealing at each release a new part of the artwork, I thought of how to to do this and I had to start with creating the central and final piece which was going to be the blackstar and then work backwards and create the full artwork. I went through many versions and experimented a lot before getting to this final cover which has many details. The Deluxe Edition of the album features the long-awaited final scene from my series of images from the original digital album chapters. Here is the first DVD cover I have designed for french Magic company “Marchands de Trucs”. It’s called “La Saga des Elastiques” with Sylvain Mirouf who is a french magician who’s done many shows on french TV and doing more than 800 magic tricks over 5 years. He also does one man shows. Unfortunately I have no time for music composing and keeping working on this at the moment and this music project has been on hold for ages so I thought I’d put the demos out there for people to have if they want to. Here is the latest artwork I’ve done for Twisted Jukebox (Music Production Licensing Company).

‘Bloc Rocker’ is a medley of melodic skanking guitar, overdriven organs, classy piano hooks and chunky bass lines merged with rolling, funk induced drum patterns and compressed breakbeats adding up to one classic old skool bigbeat album. I was looking through my archives files a few weeks ago and found this video I did for Pitchshifter back in 2000 (Made after doing the ‘Hidden Agenda’ one). I used a few shots from the first video and added in some scenes I had filmed in the streets of London and Bristol. It was nice and sunny this morning so I decided to grab my bike, my camera, some stickers and a few Karnival DOSE decks and I went to Greyfriars Kirkyard graveyard to take some photos. It is located at the southern edge of the Old Town of Edinburgh. It has amazing old monuments, loads of skulls and is reputedly haunted. A truly lovely place and I like to go there and walk around. Here are a few photos of the Karnival DOSE deck.

This image-face was a detail of my artwork ‘Why Not?‘ which I created back in 2006. I sold many of them as posters back then and it seemed that the little dude with his lovely face had a bit of success – I named him the ‘dead head’ to describe him on the poster. A few years after I created a promo sticker for DOSEprod with this image and started to give them and send them around and stick them up everywhere I could… it was the beginning ! It has now begin my logo and symbol for DOSEprod. Since last year I have done many t-shirts, badges and stickers with the Deadhead image and the little fella is starting to be recognized in the streets ! More guerilla art projects on the go – More stickers, tees and surprises soon up in the DOSEprodSHOP (opening in july). Karnival DOSE deck of cards is coming VERY soon…. in May 2011. I am very excited about this one !! Get ready to see a lovely dark and groovy new deck of Bicycle cards and I’m happy to announce that each single side of each card has been carefully Dosed-up !! Hey !  Hope you had a lovely sunny summer, had loads of fun and good times. I have finally managed to get it done and sorted. Yep !!! My new shiny blog is ready to rock!! I will be using this website for your daily dose of news about my work, projects, life, music and much much exciting stuff ! yeah yeah ! … To recap, I am currently working on several new CD artworks, some videos, logos and websites and I have some of my work published in a book about Music graphics which I will be showing you soon as the book is out (october I think). I have been working on some music side-projects which I can’t talk about right now till it’s released but it’s been a great experience and work collaboration.. again more soon about this project here !!! Ive been living in Edinburgh for 9 months now – amazing place, meet some really nice people and life could not be better !!! MORE SOON – must get back to making some tea….
