‘Bloc Rocker’ is a medley of melodic skanking guitar, overdriven organs, classy piano hooks and chunky bass lines merged with rolling, funk induced drum patterns and compressed breakbeats adding up to one classic old skool bigbeat album. Funk fuelled and Ska powered sections sit within great builds, drops and dramatic crescendos.

‘Blood and Glory’ is my latest design for Twisted Jukebox – This is the twelfth digital release cover I have designed for this company this year. (Music production Library catalogue for motion picture advertising, TV, gaming and brand promotion). This is the cover for the latest TWISTED JUKEBOX digital release called ‘Theatre of Dreams’. They wanted to use a nice bold big title with maximum impact with a indie rock sort of vibe – nice and simple and they also wanted colours to be vibrant and exciting to fit with the intended use which is sports highlights sort of stuff! ROM-COM “Music to make you love, laugh and cry”. I must admit this was a tough one to start with because when I got the brief concerning this new artwork and I read the words ROM-COM I was like errrrh.. what the hell am I going to do to illustrate romantic comedy films and series?? … and the idea that I had to imagine a visual to go with this style of music and movies was a little challenging. I left it for a few days and one night – late in bed trying to sleep – I suddenly had this idea! First thing the next morning I was on my Mac and got in to creating the idea I had and the result is exactly what you can see below ! My clients loved the concept and went for it without hesitation. Sometimes things just work out much easier than expected ! So this is artwork project number 9 and the third design of the third trilogy of covers I have created for the Music Publishing and Sync Licensing company Twisted Jukebox. This time they asked me to illustrate their catalogue called ‘WILD EARTH’ which is aimed for documentaries and the theme is orchestral music. Ranging from awe inspiring to thought provoking & contemplative moments, ‘Wild Earth’ is the perfect accompaniment to moving pictures that chronicle the wonders of the world we live in. Bringing together music with rich & beautiful textures primed for a range of documentary & television usages. Earlier this year I was contacted by Twisted Jukebox who are a Music Publishing & Sync Licensing company based in the United Kingdom. Twisted Jukebox has an ever growing exclusive catalogue of music written by artists, writers & composers. They are a great team and I was happy to start working with them creating artwork for all their next new upcoming releases this year. I will be designing many artworks for them and 3 of them are now complete and ready to be released very soon.
